The Sacrament of Confirmation Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the "sacraments of Christian initiation, whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285
Preparation for this sacrament takes place through our Faith Formation programs. The day that you receive the sacrament of Confirmation is an important event in your life as a member of the Catholic Church. St. Anthony offers a program to specifically help high school students prepare well for reception of Confirmation and a life-long commitment to Christ and His Church.
If you are NOT in high school and over the age of 18 and need to receive the sacrament of confirmation you will need to register in our adult confirmation preparation program, click here. "A minimum of two (2) years of formal religious education in a parish or Catholic school program precedes preparation for the celebration of the sacrament of confirmation. Many struggle with the attitude of confirmation being the "graduation" sacrament. Confirmation is part of a four-year high school catechetical program and the celebration of the sacrament can take place anytime within that period for those adequately prepared."
