Parents who are seeking Baptism for their children are asking that their child be initiated into the Catholic Community and the local Church Community of St. Anthony's. The Church baptizes infants/children on the faith of the parents. The ideal is that parents have a deep faith, which they actively live out in the experience of the Catholic Church Community. Children's faith is learned from their parents. We consider children from birth through the age of six to be infants. Children 7 and older who need to be baptized must attend religious education classes.
Our parish requires attendance to one Baptismal preparation session before the Baptism takes place. The preparation session is held one Sunday a month. Baptisms are offered one Saturday a month in English and one Saturday a month in Spanish. Please contact the office to register prior to attending the preparation session.
