IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Dispensation from fasting and abstinence for Ash Wednesday and the First Friday of Lent -
For all Catholics in the Diocese of Austin, in recognizing the difficulties experienced over the past few days by so many, including the inability for some to secure food for themselves and their families, Bishop Joe S. Vásquez has dispensed all from the obligation to fast and abstain from eating meat for this Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021 and Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 (Canon 87§1).
This unprecedented weather event only compounds the suffering our community has endured together throughout the pandemic. Bishop Vásquez asks each of us to pray for those who are suffering in the cold and, if possible, to offer support where we can. On this Ash Wednesday, he also calls each of us to turn to God, knowing that God will never leave us to face our challenges alone.

Dispensa del ayuno y abstinencia para el Miércoles de Ceniza y el Primer Viernes de Cuaresma-
Para todos los Católicos en la Diócesis de Austin, en reconocimiento de las dificultades experimentadas por tantos durante los últimos días, incluyendo la inhabilidad padecida por algunos de asegurar comida para si mismos y sus familias, el Obispo José S. Vásquez ha dispensado a todos de la obligación de ayunar y abstenerse de comer carne para este Miércoles de Ceniza, febrero 17 de 2021 y Viernes, febrero 19 de 2021 (Canon 87§1).
Este evento climático sin precedente, solo agrava el sufrimiento que nuestra comunidad ha tolerado junta durante la pandemia. El Obispo Vásquez pide a cada uno de nosotros que oremos por aquellos que están sufriendo en el frío y, de ser posible, ofrezcamos apoyo donde podamos. En este Miércoles de Ceniza, también nos llama a cada uno de nosotros, a que volteemos hacia Dios, sabiendo que Él nunca nos dejará enfrentar nuestros retos solos.

Due to the weather & road conditions ALL activities on our campus have been CANCELLED for today (February 17th) and tomorrow (February 18th) , with the tentative plan of reopening on Friday.
